Dr Jonathan Wee is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Mount Elizabeth
Novena Specialist Centre.

Dr Wee graduated from the National University of Singapore with the degree of MBBS,
and attained Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London, UK. He was
also conferred the postgraduate degree of Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
(Singapore), and is a Fellow of the Chapter of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Academy of Medicine
(Singapore). He is also a member of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society of Singapore, and a member
of the Singapore Medical Association. He is also a certified Colposcopist and a member of the Society
for Colposcopy & Cervical Pathology of Singapore.

Dr Jonathan Wee has a special interest in Minimally Invasive Surgery. He has worked
in all 3 Restructured Hospitals with Maternity Units in Singapore, namely KK Women's and Children's
Hospital, Singapore General Hospital and National University Hospital. Trained mainly in KK Hospital,
Dr Wee was a member of the Minimally Invasive Unit and is highly proficient in both endoscopic and
open surgery for a multitude of gynaecological conditions. He is also a Specialist Obstetrician,
having managed many low-risk and high-risk pregnancies over the years. He is also an accredited IVF
clinician and skilled in a wide range of fertility treatments including intrauterine insemination and
In Vitro Fertilization(IVF).

Dr Wee also has a keen interest in teaching, education and research. He has
participated and presented at numerous local and international workshops and congresses, and has also
published papers in several journals. He was a member of the Faculty organizing local courses for the
MRCOG examinations, and is also a member of the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine Clinical Faculty and
has been a Clinical Tutor to medical students and Residents since 2012. Aside from numerous
compliments and commendations from colleagues and patients alike, Dr Wee was also given the
Outstanding Faculty Award for his contributions to teaching Residents for the year 2013 at the RiSE
(Residency in Singhealth Excels!) Awards ceremony 2014.

Dr Irene Chua is a Senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the
Gleneagles Medical Centre.
|
|||||||||
Dr Chua received her MBBS from the National University of Singapore and is a Fellow
of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (London) and a Fellow of the Academy of
Medicine, Singapore.

Prior to setting her up her private practice, Dr Chua was a Senior Consultant in
the Minimally Invasive Surgery Unit, KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital (KKH). Previous
position held includes Head of the 24-Hour Women's Clinic in KKH. Dr Chua is also a Senior Clinical
Lecturer for Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS and was awarded the Top 10 NUS Clinical Faculty
Teacher for the year 2007-2008. In addition, she has also been awarded the CEO Heart award in 2010,
Singapore Health Quality Service Superstar Award in 2011 as well as the prestigious PS21 Star Award in
2011.

Being a patient and understanding obstetrician, Dr Chua has performed many
deliveries over the years. Apart from that, she also specializes in gynecological endoscopy (otherwise
known as key-hole surgery) and surgery. Dr Chua was the first female gynaecologist to be awarded the
HMDP scholarship in 2004 for Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery in Gynaecology sub-specialising in Excision
of Severe Endometriosis and Pelvic Floor Support at the IRCAD/ European Institute of TeleSurgery
(EITS), Strasbourg, France under world-renowned laparoscopic surgeon, Professor Arnaud Wattiez.

Apart from being an advocate for minimally invasive surgery, Dr Chua is also
actively involved in the teaching and training of O&G specialists both locally and regionally,
being a Level 3 accredited laparoscopic trainer in KKH. She is also an appointed teaching faculty at
the Asian Institute of Telesurgery (AITS) in Taiwan and conducts lectures and surgeries in Indonesia,
Malaysia and Brunei.

In addition to clinical practice, Dr Chua has published in numerous scientific
journals and is invited to speak regularly at conferences and seminars both locally and
internationally.
